The Power of 2

As students attending Louisiana State University in Shreveport, Jason and Kristin Gills of Bossier City, LA, never dreamed they'd be able to work together each day, let alone work toward the same goal. Jason was in school working toward his MBA and Kristin was a senior in high school when the two first met at church and started dating. Shortly after he graduated, a friend introduced Jason to Primerica. He knew immediately that he'd found the answer to the question that had been nagging him: "What next?" Initially, Jason pictured himself going to work in corporate America, but after discovering what Primerica had to offer, the picture changed.

"I loved the idea that I could have freedom, have my own business and be my own boss," Jason says. "I would rather work at life than plan my life around work. I knew that Primerica had a proven system in place. The Company was credible and provided mentorship, which was exactly the kind of company I wanted to be part of."

Jason knew that if he plugged into the system he could be successful. Being young and coachable would work in his favor and help him climb the ladder of success at Primerica quickly. "Plus," he smiles, "Primerica was offering me the chance to achieve something special with my life and be somebody. I have the opportunity to help people - to actually do something with meaning - and earn money for my family's future at the same time."

Before Primerica, the Gillses didn't have much money and were constantly worried about paying their bills. Now, they're the success stories of their families. They're able to help family members out financially if needed. Jason and Kristin are also teaching their son and other members of their family about money and how they can make their money work for them.

One of the things they love most about Primerica is the opportunity to work together each day. "Working with someone you love toward a common goal really strengthens your relationship," Kristin beams. "We're best friends and we get to work together. It's a great life."

The two work in tandem to grow their business and have defined their roles in the partnership. Kristin handles all of the administrative tasks and plans social programs with other partners on their team. She frees Jason up to work on building and training their team, which are his strengths.

"Primerica allows us to do what we do best," says Jason. "When Kristin started helping me, our business really exploded. Her help freed me up to do the things I was good at and needed to do. Working together to achieve our goals has really taken our business to the next level.

"Kristin and I come from an independent generation," Jason reasons. "Primerica is a great opportunity for us because it lets us have complete freedom and control over our life. Most young adults today want quality of life. We have that with Primerica and can have it together because we're partnered in the business."

Jason believes that Primerica provides hope for people. "I always felt like I was supposed to do something great and lead a dream life ... I just didn't know how to achieve it. Then I found Primerica and the Company gave me back that hope."
