If you needed a day off, how would you ask your boss?

A. I'd have to check with my boss and make sure it was approved.
B.

I probably wouldn't take time off. If I did, I would just work in advance to get all of my work done and then clear it with my boss.
C. Boss? What boss? I'd just take the day off.
